Was I wrong?

Re: Was I wrong?

I would just tell her that you did not hang up on him, however, you phoned to speak to HER and you should not have to hear her boyfriend PMSing to you on the phone. I would really be quite frank with her.

After a few choice 4 letter words I would have hung up on him as well

Well, to update on the situation (yes, it's still ongoing), she called me before and not even a hello, just a 'What's your problem?' I kindly told her if she is going to address me that way, then I'm not speaking to her. I'm more hurt than mad. I mean, her bf is one thing, to hell with him, but why is my sister mad at me? I don't know. I don't really care at this point.

Your sister is mad at you because she's under her BF's thumb and control. Otherwise, she would have let HIM have it for treating you that way.

I understand what you mean when you say your family is 'like that' with each other. But that doesn't make it right. It seems to me that their behavior upsets and hurts you. So whether or not the rest of your family treats each other that way, you have every right to set some limits and refuse to be disrespected. Sometimes all it takes is one person to stand up and say, 'Hey! This isn't right and I'm not standing for it.' You will be happier and healthier in the long run.

It sounds like a difficult situation.

tell her ' if you dont believe me I will carry a mini voice recorder with me, and any him he talks to me, ill turn it on so there is no dispute over what was said.... Im already offended that you would believe a boyfriend over a sister'
