So Sunday morning I like to sleep in...morons next door (whom I already had run ins with before-they had a huge party going till 530 one morning) decided to put a new door up.
I kept hearing the drill going against the frame and not for nothing, it was annoying me..not to mention it was 830 on a sunday.
So like an old bat I poked my head out the window and told them to shutup and to have some consideration because its a sunday and people like to sleep in.
They looked at my like I had 20 heads(prob because I looked a hot mess). Was I wrong for yelling? I kinda felt bad afterwards... But on a brighter note they were like church mice the rest of the day!!!!!

Ive done it plenty of times... my block is like grand central station... but i also live in a building and sometimes they dont dont where the yellin is coming from so i remain anonymous

No you were NOT wrong!!! I would have done the same thing. Its totally rude for them to be so loud so early on a Sunday. There should be a rule that all neighbors must be quiet until at least 10AM on Sundays!!!!

they knew it was me. Bungholes. This was the same house that we were gonna blast bagpipes out the window to but never got around to it....f*ckers. I really loathe them.

In that situation, definitely. I havent done it yet but there have been plenty times that i'm thisclose. It'll happen one day - with my neighbors its guaranteed.

dont worry...i think everyone does it every once in a while..
FH's neighbors (across the street mind you) were up at 6:30 on sunday leaving for florida, yelling to talk to each other...woke us both up, and FH yelled out the window for them to shut up!

I'm even worse, my neighbor used to mow the lawn every sunday around 8 am! I didn't yell at them just called the town of hempstead and reported them. they haven't done it since. There are noise laws for the weekends. I guess that was pretty mean of me though

Our neighbor's bratty son decides it's a good idea to run around making ambulance noises RIGHT outside my window starting at 8am... so most Sundays I'm woken up to the sounds of 'WOOOO OOOOO WOOOO OOO WOOOOO OOOOO.'
I've tried yelling at him a few times but it doesn't help.

I get so pissed when anyone or anything wakes me up early on my day off. You are definitely not wrong for yelling at them.

Ugh the ppl 2 houses down have parrots that are left on their deck in cages that screech 24/7 I CANT TAKE IT. They have been reported but tell the cops that its too warm to leave them inside and they are never sure when they will be home. *** SAYS THAT???

I would have done the same thing. I know during the week it's illegal in the town of islip to be making that much noise before 8 am, so I would think it is later on the weekends. I yelled at our neighbors son a few weeks ago. He uses our street as his personal drag strip and I had enough when he was out there one morning revving his engine at 7:45 am. I asked nicely at first for him to stop and when he said 'why?' I told him if he didn't cut his $hit I was going to start calling the cops. I think he has moved out cause I haven't seen his car there in the last 2 weeks

HAHA! Good that he moved!!! Kids are just as bad. There's this 12 yr old on my block that obviously doesnt drive but has a sound system hooked up to his bicycle and blasts it in the street. Welcome to the world of Ozone Park.
