Was your FH excited about registering?

I want to start tonight but I'm afraid FH won't want to go. I just want to register for our china, flatware and crystal and then go back another time, but I at least want to get started.

Was your FH open to registering, or did you have to promise to let him use the scanner gun to convince him to go?

We wasn't too excited about going, but once he was there he had fun

He was excited about using the scanner gun. Then when we were in Fortunoff's there was this other guy there with the scanner and they sort of gave a high five with the scanners. It was so funny.
Make it like a game for him. They are after all little boys at heart.

I took FH with me at first but he was really bored doing it! Plus I was not able to browse as much, so I went back with my mom & finished it up

Agreed. I would rather do this on my own. he couldn't care less.

My FI is actually trying to convince me not to register becuase he doesn't think we need any clutter. HELLO! I want nice dishes, my Kitchenaid, nice knive set, Emerilware stainless stell pots .... you get the picture. He wants me to register for a plasma tv.

My FH has not patients to go, but I bet he will say why didn't you register this for me!!!!

I rather not go with him he would make me rush and leave within an hour.

He doesn't want to register he doesn't get the whole concept of the bridal shower.

He's like I don't want gift I only want money(he says this because we are paying for the wedding).

So I had to explain everything to him, he didn't even know what a bridal shower was

You and I are in the same boat! He doesn't understand that most people don't just give money and that if I don't register I'll get 50 sets of bath towels.

I know when we registered for the baby shower he was excited in the beginging then got bored so I gave him the gun and he was over joyed its all about hte gun

No. He breaks out in hives if he's in any retail store for more than 5 minutes. He thought I was kidding when I showed him the plates I registered for. Says that he's going to be embarassed to serve his friends on them when they come over

we are going to register soon..hes not too excited, we decided he would go with me for the first time, pick out what he likes then ill go for future visits with a friend who knows more about china and all that girlie stuff...lol

Just an update -

FH was excited to go (and yes, he held the scanner!) and we walked around the dinnerware section of Fortunoff for over an hour and couldn't decide on a pattern! We ended up leaving without actually scanning anything, lol.

Mine was.. he loved the gun (scanner).. I couldnt get him to put it down...

I have to say he has been amazing with all the wedding stuff..

have any of you gone to the fortunof wedding survivor events?

i know they're having wedding survivor 3 and it's a tradition where they give away gifts and guidance... supposed to be fun to bring the fh :)

Mine hated it! I took him to target twice and both times he just gave me a hard time! So he told me he trust my judgement and so I do it myself! DPITA if you want to know what that means FM.

FH and I were talking about that this morning. Less than 6 months left and I can't get him into the store to register. He says 'Can't you do it alone?'. I told him No. You won't complain about it if you help choose it. He swings into weekends next month. We'll see what happens.
