Ok...I know this is such a stuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuupid question, but it has become one of those little things that say, 'Adult children who have lived on their own, should NEVER move back in with their parents!'
When you buy new clothes do you:
1. Hang them up in your closet and wear them?
OR
2. Wash them before wearing them?
All my life I've just put the stuff in the closet, worn it and THEN washed it.
Mom told me I'm crazy. I have to wash them FIRST.
I do wash new sheets and towels before using them because I want the fabric softener on them. And I do wash new underwear before wearing them...not quite sure how I got into the habit of that, but I guess I just always wanted to make sure they were clean.
Just curious....am I the only person who didn't wash clothes? And is it something I should be doing?

i always just wear my clothes, i never wash them first. my mom (who is a complete clean/germ/neat freak, lol) has always washed everything before wearing it.

ive dont washthem before wearing...ive only heard youre suppose to do that to baby's new clothes...for my clothes, i dont do it.

depends what it is... underwear i wash first then wear... but everything else i just wear... even though i've been told to wash first... i feel like i'm wasting the clothes colors if i wash it first.. lol plus if i wear it and i dont like it after an hour i can just always return it...
personally, if u never washed your own clothes before moving out.... lord help you... i cannot even fathom being a parent and doing a 20 something yr olds clothes when they are perfectly capable of handling it on their own... that was my rant for the day...
anyways, i wash my clothes before wearing just b/c i like to shrink a majority of the things... FH thinks im crazy and refuses to wash something he jus got from the store.... so we're complete opposites in that dept

I just wear my clothes....I do what you do, wash the sheets and towels and of course undies before...but everything else I just wear. mom's can be so funny!!!
My mother irons the pillowcases because 'they are softer'
And since she just 'happened' to be putting a load in the washer, the shirts that I bought at the Gap yesterday are being washed as we speak.
I'm going to kill her if she shrinks them before I get to wear them!

i just wear because it seems that i have a problem with buying stuff bringing it home putting on to wear and not liking it.. so then i return it. so tags stay on till I wear it (unless its underwear etc)
