WATCH WHAT YOU SIGN!!!!

WATCH WHAT YOU SIGN!!!!

Ladies, please be careful and read the cancellation policies on the back of your contracts. In nassau County, they can make any policy they want and you can end up paying for almost the whole wedding if something comes up and you need to cancel. It has happened to many women,I don't want you guys to have to go through it too. The Sandcastle especially--they will make you pay75% of your total wedding if they do not re-book your date. Careful and good luck!!!!

you owe the money or you get sued thats what happens if you cancel in nassau.

Its horrible but then again all this is in the contract so it really shouldn't be of any surprise when it happens...Girls please read ALL your contracts very carefully. I always see girls on here ask questions even about their pictures and whether they have rights to it and all these things, all this is specified in your contract.

If you sign the paper you cant turn around and look at the vendor like what are they talking about if god forbid something happens

yeah i heard suffolk is so good in this kind of situation...you dont have to pay 50% of your hall if no one books your date! which is another reason I am leaning towards suffolk myself- especially if Chris gets deployed since he will actually still be a reservist for 3 yrs after he gets out (part of his contract) -- thanks for the advice jessie and denise!!!

in your case i would DEFINITELY book in suffolk county...suffolk law says you get all your money back except $100 which is nothing compared to how much you can lose if you cancel elsewhere

Some of the catering halls will just keep your deposit, they don't even bother going after the rest--not so with the Sand Castle--they sued 3 brides in 2006 in Queens,I am still waiting to see how many in Nassau. I just want everyone to be careful.GOOD LUCK!!!:-
