Waterfront Venues Pricing

Waterfront Venues Pricing

Hi 2013 brides!!

I'm planning my wedding from southern Virginia and I wanted to get some help/feedback on some venues that you all have checked out. I would really like a waterfront or waterview venue in Suffolk county. Could you let me know price quotes that you all have gotten for an April, May, or June 2013 wedding? Perferrably a Saturday night!

Thanks!!

I would call the places you are interested in and let them know you are planning from a distance and see what kind of numbers they give you.I too wanted a waterfront wedding but the pricing was just impossible--we couldn't swing the numbers.

May and June are EXTREMELY expensive especially on a Saturday night.. maybe you want to go with a Fri or Sun night or skip May/June.

Let us know how it goes!

Lombardi's on the Sound

Meadow Edge West Sayville CC
Oceanbleu

Sands Caterers
Waterview Club

Good luck and happy planning!

I loved the Riveria, they gave us Mid May - Mid October
Sat Night 99pp,
Fri night 89 pp
Sunday night 78 pp
Sat afternoon 82pp
Sunday afternoon 78 pp

for 4/28/13 evening we had the price of 74 pp

they included centerpeices with 7 roses and baysbreath

the downfall to this venue for me was they were not abel to accomdate the size of our guestlist (there max is 220 and that is tight) and the bridal suite was on the small side.

Chateau La Mer was reasonable for us, it was $72pp plus $3000 set up fee, that inluded all menu options. This was for a Sunday. I have to say my FH partner got married their and the vianesse hour was by far the most amazing i have ever seen.

I hope this was helpful! Happy planning!

Got this off someone elses post on pricing:

Oceanbleu in the Hamptons
10,000 site fee for July/Aug (Sat)
5,000 site fee for May, June, Sept, Oct
1500 ceremony fee (plus bonfire)
155pp

Absolutely outrageous IMO.

Re: Waterfront Venues Pricing

Congratulations!

I am actually planning my wedding on a very short engagement - we got engaged in January and are planning a July wedding on Long Island. So I have had to do a lot of research in the last few weeks. I also really wanted to do a beach wedding, so this is the information I've found:

Gurney's Inn (Montauk)
$150-$200pp, ceremony on the beach $2500. If you decide to do April, Gurney's offers 20% off the entire bill(so basically you wouldn't have to pay the administrative fee on top of everything) plus a full week honeymoon in their hotel.

Montauk Yacht Club (Montauk)
$150+ pp

Sunset Harbour (East Patchogue)
I'm not sure the price pp- I wasn't interested in it but my mother called and they quoted her approx $6500 for everything for 80 guests on a Sunday, so it would probably be about $10-$20 more pp on a Saturday.

The WaterView Club (Bayville - it isn't in Suffolk County but it's right on the Long Island Sound in a very cute little town)
I am actually planning to book the WaterView Club for Summer 2012 - for them I was initially quoted $90-$120 pp on a Saturday (min 100 guests), or $80-$110 on a Friday/Sunday. $750 for a beach wedding and $600 for an indoor wedding. I'm a little biased, but I definitely think you should consider it.

I would aim for April or early May, just because you will have much more bargaining leverage over the RH's since it's 'off-season' on the island. Happy hunting!

No one mentioned Thatched Cottage! It's on the water and has great food and outdoor ceremony/cocktail hour. It's also very affordable. FM me if you want any specific info!
