Waterfront Weddings (Lombardi's) Which one?

I am looking to have a waterfront wedding in July 2013. Which is better to check out? - Lombardi's On the Sound or Lombardi's On the Bay?

I ideally would like the venue to have only one wedding at a time. Do either of these have that amenity?

Appreciate the help!!

I am going to Lombardi's on the Sound Sunday and Bay next Saturday I will let you know. From what I have been told they do one wedding at a time.

Lombardi's on the sound does one at a time but I do think they can do 2 a day.

I looked at both. Both only do 1 wedding at a time. The Bay has the resturant that IS open during your reception however, they swore that theres no chance of anyone wandering over. Really its how big your wedding is going to be. The Sound can hold MUCH more people then the Bay. I would say 150-175 would be TIGHT at the bay whereas the Sound can hold 200+. I wanted LOB SO BAD but it was just out of our budged for what we wanted. The Bay is also a little more modern/ritzy vs the Sound which is more classic looking. HTH!!

Ok. This helps. I have about 125 guests ...should I lean towards the Bay so it doesn't have such a big reception room that it looks empty?

I honestly didn't think LOTS had a huge room. I thought our 150-160 guests would have been tight in there so I say look at both, it doesn't hurt but they did have a 150 person minimum for a Sat night in Sept/Oct and I just met with them last week.

I personally liked the bay better. It seemed a bit more intimate and you were closer to the water. The sound, you are far above the water and it is a pain in the *** to drive to, especially at night or in the rain...yuck!

I'm biased but I love the bay ;) for. 125 it would be perfect! The room is very elegant and the cocktail hr room has amazing views! I love it !

Thanks for the honest opinions! We just saw the Lombardis on the Bay. I loved the room inside and the view was nice. It is the same price per person with our top choice.....ah...decisions decisions! I almost feel like I don't want to see that Sound because it will add to the confusion! ha

The sound is nice but not as elegant as the Bay.. I wasn't a huge fan because I loved how 'clean' looking the Bay was. If you're looking for elegant the bay is definitely the way to go :)

The Sound was sooo pretty when we went to look, super blue water! The bay is still really nice just different.

Both are one wedding at a time but both have other things going on(LOS has a smaller room upstairs? and LOB has a restaurant on the side)

I've only been to a wedding at LOB.
Room was super cramped but I have no idea if they had 125 people or 175 people. I would def. try to look at it set up for a wedding around your size to make sure you have enough room.

If your only having 125 ppl i would def do the bay the room is much nicer than the sound i wanted the bay but ended up booking the sound just because of the room size but 125 ppl should be fine for lob!
