What is the difference b/w the astor room and the vanderbilt room at the watermill--how many people per room and any other differences....thanks....

We are using the Vanderbilt Room. We told them we were having about 250 and the room holds 375. They said that was the room we needed. I am not sure how much the Astor room holds. I know we have to guarantee 225 to have that room. Hope this helps a little bit.

We are getttied married in the Vanderbilt I, which they use as a chapel. Our reception and cocktail hour are in the smallest rooms.

I have to guarantee 125 in the Astor which is upstairs. I am getting married in the chapel downstairs.

We had our reception in the Astor Room. they told it would fit 14 tables of 14 max (198 guests) We used 13 tables, about 150 guests and it was perfect. I was glad we took out one table because we it gave the band more room. We had to guarantee 125 people on a Fri night in Sept. The other room is much larger and is being redecorated. When its finished it will look just like the Astor room - or at least thats what I was told last Sept. You cant go wrong with either room at Watermill. They totally cater to you.
