Those of you who have been or are getting married at the watermill tell me your pros and cons of the place. I cant decide on a hall!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm getting married there... Pros are the service..it beat based on what we were told ALL of the other places...the bridal attendant, our own waiter, one waiter and seperate bus boy for EVERY table...The food choices were amazing and I have read a million reviews on how good the food was, never a complaint on the service or the food... We loved the decor, it fit into our idea of an elegant wedding and we opted for a Friday night so we have the entire upstiars, the bar area for before coktail hr, two rooms for coktail hr and then the Astor suite for reception...
Cons- More then one wedding at a time...for us this didnt matter, its 6 months till the date and so far no one has the downstairs for our date and there is no-one right before us either...that all depends on time of year and date and time fo your wedding...
Price was an issue untill we settled on winter and Friday and then it was actually CHEAPER then many other places...
The only other negative thing I have heard from LIW about them is slow Valet service...to us thats not enough to disuade us...

I went to a weddng there. The food was pretty good but I did not like that it had more than one affair at a time. They do not seperate them too much.

got married there in feb! the place is amazing but impressed me more was the service. From the minute we got there we were waited on hand and foot. The food was excellent.. I have nothing but good things to say about the Watermill. YOu will NOT be disappointed!

I cannot rave more about the Watermill. I was married there 5 years ago and I am still reading positive messages about it. I had the downstairs room (CH upstairs). Had the whole place to myself. It was fantastic. I STILL here 'your wedding was the best I've been to' which 5 years later, is awesome. I did have the one waiter/busboy for each table (actually one weighter tried to pick up my friend and snuck in a dance w/her ) but it was a 'fun' thing. My vendors were fantastic and Samantha is a sweetheart! Watermill took care of me from the minute I booked! I loved the idea that I can order favors from Samantha and THEY did ALL the wrapping and setting up!! That took a load of my shoulders. **Do they still do that?** Oh, and the food was awesome!! The CH was amazing!!
