Just out of curiousity, how many ppl do you have to guarantee for the downstairs room? I was married there 5 years ago and had to have 150..Whats the minimum now?? TIA

Re: Watermill Brides
For Saturday evening I would have had to guarantee 220 for the Vanderbilt room. But since I am getting married in the daytime, I was told it could be lowered to 150. P.S. I am also saving $40 pp by having it in the daytime!!!

TY for info. My brother mentioned thats one hall they may be looking at and trust me, I would LOVE to be a guest at the WM so I can experience what my guests did. They are planning a Sat. wedding in 06 and he liked the room I was in. I told him daytime may be cheaper. I will have to tell him about your post. Thanks again ladies!!

Funny..I was told the minimum was 150 for UPSTAIRS....we got it 'reduced' to 125 due to a Friday in Winter being our date.
Gotta love those ever changing 'minimums'

I was told the same minimum for the upstairs - 150. They won't 'reduce' for us because it's a Saturday in May. We were actually told 225 minimum for the downstairs room. I guess it really does all depend on the time of year (and time of day/night) you're getting married.

Even better. I'm getting married on Mon, July 4th (daytime) and they lowered the minimum for the Astor Room (upstairs) to 100. Premium menu.
FM me if you want price and other details. I think I got an excellent deal.

Re: Watermill Brides
They must have increased their minimum or I dont remember them giving us a break because I was just married there this past May 30 (which was a sunday, memorial day weekent) and it was 150 for the Vanderbilt room, they said that the Astor room was 125 but hat room was already booked.

When we got married there in the vanderbilt room, the guy lowered the limit to 175 for us. He did this because we told him we wouldn't have it there if we couldn't have that room and we knew we wouldn't make the 225 guarantee that the room requires. I am sure they would be willing to lower the minimum required if they thought you wouldn't book there.
