I would just confirm that they will have the same when you go there. This was the upstairs bathroom, and maybe the person hosting the party brought it in? I just noticed it in there...So definately don't return until you confirm! (that rhymes too lol)
I am in the downstairs room and I specifically remember Frank saying that they provide an attendant and baskets for the bathrooms. HTH
P.S. I htink I figured out how to do it:

I am goign to decorate the mantel. I have the Vanderbilt room. I am making my own table numbers. I bought double sided pedestal frames and will be putting our engagement pick with the table numbers on them.
They pretty much let you do anything you want to. I am doing bathroom baskets. didnt know they provide it if you have the room downstairs...
I love it there. I am going on Thursday to show my mom and siter.

Thanks for the info about the linens. I think I will request navy blue napkins since those are my colors (navy blue, cream).
As far as the cake picking and all that, about how much time before you get married do they start discussing those things with you? I'm not till November, so I know I have time but just excited and curious about it!
Do they provide candles for the cake table or do we have to?
I forgot to ask all of these questions when I booked! I guess I could always email Samantha with them too! Have you guys found her helpful?
do you know I have not heard from Samantha ONCE?? What does she do???

sam did the invitations for us, was going to do the menus for us (we decided to go out of Watermill for that) she was able to call places for favor boxes for us to get price quotes.

Speaking of Samantha, she actually called me tonight..ironic. She wanted to see if I was ready to come in and discuss invitations. Does she really get you that much of a discount?

Hey girls! I just found out the bakery for Watermill is Dortoni's ---- since the Watermill doesn't offer tastings, I just called the bakery directly and they give you a tasting!
You just have to make it closer to your wedding - but letting you know!

:? Something else, I thought of..where do they put the menu cards? The only reason I thought of this is because I remember them saying that your salad is already plated when the guests arrive in the room (which I am not a fan of)..I am going to ask and see if they will not do that, but I doubt it. Anyway, where do the menus go then, since they are typically on the plate?

The salad is already on the plate?? Hm that's weird, because the first course that we have is a pasta dish. I was going to put our menu cards on the plates w/ the napkin wrapped around it (another reason I got a DOC, to make sure this happens lol). I'm not busting my butt to make the menu cards on my own and not have them displayed.

I spoke with my BM today and he said there are bathroom attendants and no need for bathroom baskets - just to clarify for any girls with rooms upstairs :)

We're not doing anything crazy w/ the room. Since the room is already gorgeous as is and has the creamy whites and golds/silvers, we're just going to play up on that. Our centerpieces will be about 60-70 ivory roses which I think will bring it in all really nicely. I can't wait!!!
