Hello,I am getting married at the Watermill in July - the Astor Room. I just attended a wedding at the Watermill this past October. I was very happy with the wedding - no complaints.

I am booked for May but I have heard nothing but good stuff, a few silly things (you cant help that though) but overall a great reputation with food and service. I cant wait! less than 6 months to go!

Re: Watermill Brides...
I got married there in June 2002. I had the smallest room, but they use the oval tables in all the rooms. I also had bubble vases for my centerpeices and yes they had 2 votive candles on each table.

Re: Watermill Brides...
Thanks Debbie 08!!Yes I got married there 9/27!
Feel free to ask me anything! I'm always glad to help!
Deb
Edited to add we had votives too. Two per table but you could have asked for more(put it in your contract).
Also a great tip.... Make sure they use the table top for 12 people no matter how many guests you seat there!!! I had no idea about this and almost blew it! I like everyone to have as much room as possible.

Re: Watermill Brides...
I am getting married there too. I didnt hear about no utensils at the cocktail hour, but a friend of mine went to a wedding there over the summer and the utensils were so hot at the cocktail hour people couldnt use them. She told me to ask them to put the utensils in a shaded place.Other than that I have never heard a bad thing about the Watermill so let that be the worst, Right? As far as the table seatings go, dont they have tables of 14 and 16 also?

Re: Watermill Brides...
We had our reception at the Watermill July 2001. People are STILL raving about our wedding. The food was fabulous, the staff was fabulous, everything was just great. The liquor was top shelf-I specified that. There were votives on our table- but I didn't even know they were there- I saw it in the pictures later. There were utensils at the cocktail hour- didn't hear any complaints at all- except people were too full....You will be thrilled that you booked the Watermill...Boy, I sound like a vendor- I SWEAR I'm not...I just don't post a lot! Any more questions, ask away!
