Watermill Brides - Watermill Review

I was a bridesmaid yesterday for a friend of mine who had her reception at the Watermill. I was very excited for the wedding, since I am getting married at the Watermill in July. I made it a point to eat all sorts of food, and make notice of all of the details of the wedding. Overall, everything was great! I was very happy with the food. I noticed that during the cocktail hour, the Watermill did not provide knives. One of the girls sitting next to me had some problems eating her huge slice of ham. I would think twice about getting the duck for the cocktail hour. It wasn't that much of a hit. Overall, the food was wonderful, no complaints.

The service was great. The bridal attendant was getting drinks for the whole bridal party right at our arrival. I was wondering what the Watermill considered 'top shelf' liquor. I was looking for Tanqueray gin and they only had Beefeaters. I was also looking for Bailey's Irish Cream and they only had some strange cheaper version. I plan on asking the Watermill their definition of top shelf liquor.

It was all very good. I am still very excited to have my own wedding at the Watermill.

The DJ at the wedding was Tommy Tunes and they did an excellent job. There weren't too many dancers at the wedding and I have to give a lot of credit to the MC who worked his butt off to get the people onto the dance floor.

Re: Watermill Brides - Watermill Review

We heard the same thing before out 9/27/02 wedding at the watermill.
We spoke to them and if you want a specific brand you should ask for it.
Our families drink grand manier and that's not on the list, so they added it.
You must make sure you tell them if it's important to you.
