I am having such a hard time deciding which one I like better!!! Anyone have any specific reasons why they would pick one over the other??
I like CLM because it is on the water....but I like Watermill because its located in between my family and FH's so no one has to drive really far. Ugh, I cant decide
I love the Watermill! (I'm biased, had my wedding there.) Everything was perfect on the day of our wedding. The cocktail hour was amazing. It was huge and more then enough seating for everybody. FM me if you have any specific questions. You can't go wrong with either choice. They are both beautiful locations. Good Luck!

I went to a wedding at Watermill 2 years ago....and that was the BEST cocktail hour I have ever been to!! Havent tasted the food at CLM ever. I hate making decisions like this....

One bride here on LIW had a horrible experience there, but I've heard nothing but great things about Watermill and CLM. Personally, yes I am biased to Villa Lombardi's because my wedding is there, but if I had to chose between the 2 you listed- CLM would be more my taste. I love the water and everything about it. I just loved Villa, lol, and knew although I wanted water too, I went to the beach for pix. I hear nothing but great things about CLM especially ever since they got new owners. . . HTH! GOOD LUCK! :)

ask on the 08 boards as well a lot of girls there are getting married at clm and can share their experiences... for me i say watermill.

i'm a watermill bride, so i'm biased.
but honestly, you can't go wrong with either one. CLM is gorgeous and on the water...you sound like you might be leaning towards it more...go with your gut feeling.

Both are great...I've been to both, and considered both for my own wedding...I actually go to a fundraiser every year at Watermill, and it is outstanding every single time. I only decided against them because I wanted to be the only 'princess in the palace'
My opinion, since you ask, is that a water view is just gorgeous on a beautful day....but on a crappy, rainy day, all I would do is look out the window the whole time & say 'too bad its so crappy outside!'
So, I would lean toward the Watermill, because if you have beautiful weather, you can take pics on their grounds, then enjoy your reception. With clm...you're looking at a beautiful day as well....but it can be chilly on the water in early April, so I doubt anyone will go outside for your cocktail hour.
BUT...April showers....if it rains, as it often does in April (it's good luck!)...at clm, you look at it all day thru those giant glass windows.
At clm, it could be a freakin hurricane outside, and you wouldn't know it, all cozy in those pretty rooms....
so...
I vote for watermill for an April wedding.

I have been to both...I would choose CLM over the Watermill...I loved the water and the view at CLM and the service was AMAZING!

I love Watermill. The food and service is great. I have been to weddings there and the cocktail hour was really good. Also the viennes hour ...they do a great job with an ohestrating it.

That is FH's concern.
I was at his cousins house last nite going thru pictures of Watermill and asking questions. Im going to try to go there this week. And I am going to CLM this week also. So hopefully by the end of the week I will make up my mind!!
I think it is going to come down to $$$$

i have never been to CLM but i hear such great things about it...
i think it depends on the time of year that you want your wedding
you can really utilize CLM view and waterfront catering for summer weddings
Watermill is just so elegant and beatiful inside...it would probably be best for a spring, fall or winter wedding
You dont have to worry about the driving distance...people will travel to your wedding no matter how long, how far....you will drive yourself crazy if you worry about how far it is away from you and FH's families..

CLM!!! But of course I'm biased. So many great reasons...not to mention the price! So affordable!
Do you have tickets to the Wedding of the Year? That might help you in your decision! It is sold out, but I think there might be a waiting list you can get on....
