Has anyone used this place for their wedding? I am getting married there September 7th 2008. I would love to see some pictures and hear how it was!

My FH worked for Mrs. Sommerstein for a few years at the Lawrence Temple, as well as Water's Edge a while back. If you have any specific questions I can ask....he was like the maitre d.
I went to a wedding there last year and it was gorgeous! Great food, stunning views

Hi ya, i went to 2 weddings there this year, and a couple of private dinners as well!!! Some quick things, the views and food are just top notch. Marika the owner is wonderful. I Forget the Banquet Managers name but he was kind of huffy (snapping fingers at his staff, and kind of yelling at them while the place was being set up).
Make sure you have enough chairs for the cocktail hour. Make sure the chairs are in GOOD shape, a lot of the ones they had out were really wobbly and some of the bigger guys were worried they'd break! If you do your ceremony on the yacht, PLEASE bring in a sound system/amplifier. When the boat is moving and/or anchored in the East River the engine noise drowned out EVERYTHING that was happening during the ceremony, and the music was impossible to hear as well.
With that said, it is a GORGEOUS place, and the views will knock your guests' socks off! Good luck!

Hello. I'm not sure what the off season prices are. I am getting married in September, having 75 people. I think it's like $150 per head. It could be more though, my parents have that info. It's a beautiful place! We have the downstairs area since the wedding is small. Upstairs they want more people and is more expensive. Good Luck. Feel free to ask me any other questions
