Newbie here...we went to look at the Waterview Club in Bayville and really liked it. We're looking for a place on the water where we can have ceremony and reception and won't break the bank. We met with the owner Paul and he was great, we even got to try some of the food which all sounds amazing, my question for you ladies is, has anyone had their wedding there or been to a wedding there?
Would love and appreciate the feedback before we make any decisions...thank you!
Ps our ideal spot is a hotel on the water on the Island so everything and everyone can be in one place but believe it or not there aren't many options and some options are too expensive!
Look into Old Field Club!!!! It's in East Setauket, it's on the water and beautiful!!!
We looked at Waterview Club but I didn't like the low ceilings of the cocktail room and that it was in a basement, I also didn't love the walk from the RH to the Ceremony area and that it was next to a parking lot..

Thanks ladies, will check out Old Field, I've been to Danford's for numerous weddings so didn't really want to have mine there. You'd think there are more hotel options on the water but there's not! I'm trying not to stress but it's hard not too!

The closest hotel to Old Field is Danfords or we're doing our hotel block at the Hyatt in Hauppague, it's about a 20 min. drive. It's worth it though, Old Field is a hidden gem!! FM me if you want more info or have any other questions!!

I almost booked at the Waterview Club but did not in the end because they do not have an elevator. So any guest (handicapped or grandparents) that needs an elevator would need to walk outside in order to get to the main room. That was the only down fall there....
I am getting married at the Venetian Yacht Club - on the water and gorgeous. Check it out! Ask for Giulio!

Good luck! I never got a chance to look at waterview club but it was on my list!
VYC is beautiful and a very good price. I think there is a motel right down the street on the water!

Ladies thank you so much for the feedback!! I did check out some other places this past weekend: The Metropolitan Mirabelle-Three Village Inn Old Field Club Giorgios
I'm so thrilled to say that we've put a deposit down at Giorgio's and couldn't be happier, we're bringing the parents back Wednesday to get the final approval!! We both absolutely fell in love with it, we met with Robert and he was amazing!!! I'm so excited!!!
