I am using this watters&watters BM dress and at the store they were $220 plus alterations. I decided to buy them from netbride.com for $135 each but with no alterations.

I had to wear a watters and watters bridesmaid dress for my friends wedding in September. The overall review of the dress from the BM's was that they were really hard to alter. It could just be the particular dress but it was pretty basic/simple.

I did find that the dresses were more expensive then others.

If you dont mind me aksing why were they hard to alter? The dresses should be arriving soon and the girls are getting them altered themselves. What did you find hard about altering them? This info. would really help so i know in advance, thanks

The dress was style 496 ($180). If you go to the website you can see that the dress is really plain. I think most of the problems in the alteration process were the top of the dress. I'm not sure if it was because of the fabric (matte taffeta) or from the boning (spelled?) Also near the sash it was akward. I got my dress altered in NY and everyone else had theirs altered in Maryland but we all had the same problem.

Another problem was the back of the sash. The back was kinda like a bow (more of a loop?) When the sash was altered the loop kinda flapped over.

Hope I could help :)

Watters and Watters are a little expensive but I am buying mine through Phyllis @Gownfind and her prices are a lot better than the place we actually tried on the dress. So once your find dress for the girls I would shop around for the price. Happy Hunting
