I just got back from my first appointment ever from doing this and my legs aren't completely smooth. Does this happen with anyone else? I assumed that my legs would be absolutely smooth (like a babies butt) when I got back and that's the farthest from the truth at the moment. Does it get better in a few days or will the next appt be better?

Re: Waxing
What do you mean by not smooth. Do you mean you still have a little hair left?
I had my legs waxed once. They were smooth, but read and irritated at first. It took about a day for them to feel good. She did leave a little hair in places.

Yes, I have a little hair left and thought that was strange - and it seems stubbly. Myabe I'm just disappointed b/c I assumed the baby butt feel was what it would feel like.

Yeah, wait a day, and see how it feels. I found alot of small patches of hair, after I did it. I don't remember feeling stubble though.

I never had a waxing before but I thought it was funny every time you said 'baby butt'...just thought I'd share!

I didn't know how else to describe what I was expecting. Well - I'll give it the 6 weeks they stated and wait till my next appointment on May 5 and see what happens then. Maybe it wasn't long enough or something.

Re: Waxing
I've never waxed my legs, but I've heard that you have to do it a few times before your legs are completely smooth because when you go in, you hairs are different lengths and the shorter ones won't get pulled by the wax. Just takes patience - but I have some friends who do this regularly and the results become really great. And you end up with less hair growing back too. Good luck!

Re: Waxing
I went through this painful process before my wedding and I had the same experience. The hair has to be really long so the root can be grabbed. I was told if it is too short it will break the hair off and will not pull the root. Maybe this is why you are a little stubbly. I did this five times before my wedding and the problem was that the hair still grows back. Of course there was less but the point was to not have to shave on the HM. Well I was away for two weeks and ended up shaving anyway.
My opinion the Bikini waxing was worth it, even the under arms but not the legs.
PS. I just read MBM's post and I recall being told the same thing, the hairs are all different lengths.... maybe I didn't start far enough in advance..?
