Waxing

is anyone waxing for the wedding. im going on a cruise and then 5 days in puerto rico, I really dont feel like being bothered with shaving.

I tried to wax my leg the other day, it was that painful. So i think im doing it before the wedding.

Has anyone tried a Brazilian Wax? Is it painful. i wanted to do my armpits and my legs. but im afraid the armpit will hurt.

Any opinions

Re: Waxing

do NOT do ur arm pits, i have 2 friends that did it and walked away with only getting one waxed since it hurt so much.
the brazilian on the other hand is tolerable and so worth it IMO.

now the brazilian is that the same thing at a full crotch one or is brazilian just the sides?

Brazilian is EVERYTHING you can imagine in the nether region!!! (or you can tell her to leave whatever you want)

The pain is really dependent on who does the waxing, the wax they use and how sensitive you are.

My opinion is --It is worth the momentary pain for the results

The underarm is painful--especially if you usually shave..but let it get fairly long and do it!

i have been waxing for years..i will never shave again!

I do my legs and arm pits myself with no problem!! But I tried a Brazillian once and will never do it again!! I was completely bruised down there the next day!! It was HORRIBLE

I have to tell youladies i went from getting a betweeny to a brazilian to my a full body wax and i have no complaints..YES there is a level of pain but 5mins later it is all worth it..

just a tip that i was given after the body wax to wash my body of with milk before i take a shower and it helped soothe..my body isn't use to it as of yet so i am a lil itchy, the same as my 1st bikini wax but its so worth it

oh! the longer the hair the better...it sounds gross but i would suggest go for it

~~~~~~My Wedding is on a Sunday and I am going for my waxing the Thursday before. I am just going to get my brows, and a Brazilian wax. Probably my upper thighs also. I am also going for a facial and massage.
boy, im really nervous about doing the brazilian, I have done the legs on myself and its not that bad, i can handle that, but Im so afraid of my armpits, since the hair there is thicker. maybe I should just do the biniki and not the brazilian.
how many weeks does it need for them to be able to wax. How long should the hair be?
Brazilians are totally worth it. Yeah, the first time is painful and defintely don't do it right before your period. Take a few Advil before you go. It only hurts for a few minutes, and the results last for much longer!
Re: Waxing
it all depends on your hair growth...and also dont wait till hm go do it before so you can see how your skin reacts to the wax....for sensitive areas you can use different types of wax..honey is the most harsh of them all so go for 'pain-free wax' it makes a difference...i did my armpits for the 1st time on Friday and it stung a bit but its cool now
I want to try the brazilian too.
I'm not worried about the pain as much as I am the uncomfortableness of some lady being down there! lol
Re: Waxing
I joke around that the lady who does my brazillian knows me better than FH! It can get pretty intimate!
I just put that out of my mind-- she does this all teh time, so I act like it's totally a normal thing - that is the only way i can get over my embarrassment!!!!
OMG earlier this morning there was a show on E! entertainment about stars getting ready for the oscars, and they showed a woman getting a brazilian. (Of course they blurred out certain areas, but still, nothing was left to the imagination!) I tell you after watching that, it makes me never want to get one!!!!!
You can take two advils about 30 mins before waxing, it will take away from the pain. Theres also a few places that give you a numbing cream first. Theres one downtown in the city but i can't remember the name of it right now
Girls- I have a question Ok, what I DONT understand about waxing is that you have to not shave for so many weeks before going to get waxed!
I want to get a brazillian now, so that I'm a pro by the summer for the wedding, but I don't know how long I'd have to not shave before hand!
How does it all work??
just let it grow long enough for them to be able to take something off, it doesn't have to be a certain length or anything.
Re: Waxing
I LOOOOVE European wax, it was amazing, doesnt hurt one bit...They put hot wax, and i mean hotter than the usual wax...They just let it cool down and then you just gently peel off the whole thing, you dont feel anything at all. I got this done in europe but im sure theyhave itsomewhere here too
