Anyone have a good recommendation for where you get your waxing done? I literally haven't done it in years, but thought it might be a good idea to try it again. Also, I have really sensitive skin, so for those of you that wax, any tips on how to minimize pain, prevent rashes, ingrown hairs, etc. (fun stuff, I know).
Thank you!

Re: Waxing
I got to Eve Salon in the city. The prices are really reasonable for such a nice place.
Eve www.evesalonnyc.com 55 West 8th Street, New York (212) 807-8054
They also have an option for sensitive skin.

Thanks for the suggestions.
Any of you do Brazilian? I'm kind of nervous to get that done but at the same time, want to try it.

Re: Waxing
There is a good salon in astoria that does the brazilian. I used to go every few weeks then they upped their price to like $50 or $60. But my friend who does waxing religiously always keeps going back to the woman there because she is really good.
It is called Natura Brazilian Spa. On steinway, and the womans name is Marina

Re: Waxing
Last time I went I did an 'in between' (more than a bikini & less than a Brazilian). It really wasn't bad at all.

Re: Waxing
BLISS SPA!!! I am super sensitve also. They use poetic wax which is easier on the skin and less painful. they are also rated the most sanitary!!

JUST went here today.... and it was great. Already made my next appointment. I have been getting brazilians randomly for awhile and Sonias is the first place I found that uses the 'hard wax' and WOW does it make a difference!!

I just went for my first ever at Sonia's. It was great. They made me feel very comfortable and zi think the hard wax really does make a difference. She wouldn't do a full brazilluan on me since it was my first time but really she left very little. I have very sensitive skin and I didn't even have redness.

Re: Waxing
So Sonia's seems to be pretty popular. Will have to check some of these places out.
Thanks and if anyone has a place they love, feel free to share.

Prices are on the website, but I think a full Brazilian is $75? and the 'in between' is about $50. Definitely worth every penny!

An 'in between' leaves a little bit of hair.....let's call it something similar to a landing strip...lol
