WAY UNDER our minimum...

So we knew we were going to be under our minimum with FH's entire family being either OOT or lame... but we're WAY under. My dad's cousin who is getting married in Rhode Island the day after pretty much split my guest list for my dad's family in half.

SOOOO we have a choice... we can either get upgrades from the hall for the difference or should we just invite more people? I would just run to Michaels and get paper that matches my invite as closely as possible and make new RSVP cards for those people... or ask some LIW girls to come...

ETA: We're about 20-25 people under.

I voted to invite more people but if your RH is open to the upgrades than definitely do that! I know my RH will not give upgrades if you don't meet minimum but if yours does then go for it!!!!

What is more important to YOU?

If you wanted a few upgrades all along, go for the upgrades! But if you've always been happy with what you're getting, and skipped a few people on the invites, go for more people!

I wouldn't worry about how the room looks, you have over a hundred plus guests coming...It is a manageable crowd and you will be able to visit with alot of them that way. I am getting married the same day as you (popular day!) and so far have 75 (60 person min made) and am hoping for another 10. I only invited 90 people... If your place gives upgrades, then I would get them...If there is anyone you want to invite that you couldn't, I would as well...but be mindful that some may mind being asked after the fact...Most won't.

tallk to your RH to see what they can do, if they can only cover like '10 seats' then you still can invite 15

ask some of your b-listers. and then there is always LIWers!

How many people under the minimum do you need to be in order to get the upgrades you want?

Can you add people until that point so its the best of both worlds?

If I wasn't already going to a wedding on your wedding day I would be inviting myself!

I totally picked the wrong day to get married... 10/2 too popular!! LOL!

I figured maybe the flambe station... I only need to be around 10-12 people under for that.
