WDW Pre-Honeymoon Try Out Review...Food Update
(I am going to keep adding...having a problem with photobucket)
***I have added all the time tips for dinner as well as other time tricks...these for us really were true and for the most part we were very kid free***
As most of you know, fh and I originally planned on getting married in WDW. Well, due to family we are not for a while… probably for fhs 30th birthday.
We still wanted to have something WDW to do with our wedding, but we were worried that being that Disney is child based, that we wouldn’t feel like honeymooners if we stayed there.
So, with help from my mom’s best friend who is manager in MGM, he helped up design a pre-honeymoon try out (With all the wdw perks)
We stayed at the Carribbean Beach resort. (We wanted to stay at Animal Kingdom Lodge Savanna View room but there is a reason why we did this)
The Carribbean Beach resort offers a section called “Trinidad South”where you are actually in a more secluded portion of the Carribbean Beach resort. Although we were only two stops away from the restaurant and food market, we rarely saw children.
This is our section, we were room 3636. We asked for a corner room…they tend to be much larger and there are two windows opposed to the one.

So, when you call explain you are looking to stay in Trinidad South. They will be more than happy to do it a few months before you come…

The pool was amazing… it is VERY secluded and much larger than some of the other pools around the area. Someone comes around with food and beverages for purchasing and you can get food delivered to you. There was rarely more than 6 people in that pool area. There is no water slide/tube center which has parents go to the next pool over which is right by the childrens playarea.

This was how empty it was the majority of the day

Night time at this resort:
Was VERY adult oriented. There is a bar at Old port Royale and Fri-Sun they have live music. They played a lot of old school rock, and the bar served great drinks. They were there usually till 11-12ish. The bar stayed open till 12.

**********Before I forget...here is a little information I am not supposed to leak out but I think its pretty important:
*In Hollywood Studios there is a huge building that is empty...next year they are going to begin to build an American Idol try out center. They will audition and have concerts and epople will vote on theirfavorite. The best singer for the day will then be entered to be first in line for the 'REAL' American Idol tryout.
*They are closing Pleasure Island as of next year. Disney Management feels that it is bringing in too many outsiders and causing fights, etc. Locals are making it their 'hang out' spot and they are worried that they will soon take the WDW buses back to resorts and cause problems.
*There is ALOT of undercover security now in all parks...so just watch what you say or do... lol
the old man with the cowboy hat just may very well be a officer... :)
*************************************************
Tips I was told and followed AND that worked:
1. Go to the parks around the times of the shows. This will make all the wait time and children be scarce lol
2. There are not alot of children for extra magic hours
3. Try to make breakfast reservations at 10, Dinner after 730 to avoid large children groups
4.GET A PARK HOPPER! This will save you! If you want to go on Soarin at Epcot, get a fastpast, and then head to the next park. Come back when its your soarin time and you avoid MAJOR waits. Use fast pass as much as you can!

When my mom went in Oct it was closed. They have whipped dole pineapplesthat make a delicious smoothie….you can also get it in a float with pineapple juice. Something different, and inexpensive…and great for a hot day. I would recommend it at least oncebefore you leave!
