We are moving and I am a basket case!
I can't sleep - I was up at 3 am for an hour then back to sleep until 6:15. And I worked a 12 hour shift yesterday, so my body needs the rest but my mind it just revved up!
We weren't really looking for a new apt yet- we live in a 1 BR now and thought we could make due with the new addition until the late Spring. Well a 2 BR in the neighboorhood fell in our laps at a great price and we couldn't pass it up. Unfortunately it needs a good deal of work- paint, ripping down wall paper in 1 room, ripping out hideous carpet in another, cleaning etc. My parents will be helping alot, but I am just overwhelmed with everything we need to do before we actually move in at the end of the month. Besides the fact that I sort of feel 'handicapped' being pg- can't paint, can't really lift stuff for packing, unpacking... And I am such a bossy in charge person, I don't know how I am going to survive. So we have 3 weeks until the move and my DH is going to visit his parents for one of those weeks in FL (made plans before we knew we were moving). Hence, my craziness.
The bright side is now we will have a room for the baby from the beginning that we can decorate, etc. I am really excited for that.
Thanks for listening to my vent. Moving is just my least favorite thing to do. Since I left home for college in 1992, I have moved 10 times! It is a big joke in the family how many moves my parents have helped my sister and I through in eleven years- 23!! I am not kidding. Hope we make it through 24!
