We are ordering 125 invites but...

We are ordering 125 invites but...

I am inviting so many singles I'm worried that we are going to run out! We already got our prices for 125 - I'm worried my parents are going to freak when they see how many invites I'm going to need....

I'm just worried about the whole invite process - b/c my dad is paying, he wants to invite all of his people, which could easily fill up 230 alone... which is really the workable max for Harborclub... He is limited to about 100-115, and thats after scaling down my invite list significantly... His parents want to invite 47 people, and my stepmom said she may have to talk to them about scaling down their list because they aren't paying - I told her I'll give her their number, and if she feels comfortable doing that, then go ahead, but I'm having no part of it...

I know I have the flu and worrying isn't going to make me better (let alone worrying about midterms I can't study for today!!!) but I can't help but get so agitated thinking about this process of the wedding planning - anyone else with me on this???

Being sick makes everything worse. Get better already!
I don't know how much your invites cost, but ours were inexpensive enough that it made sense for us to order 150 instead of 125, just to be safe. Turns out that was a really good decision, since our list is now at 123 invites and not finalized yet.
Unfortunately, since your dad and stepmom are paying, you have to include them in this whole who to invite situation.
I don't really have any good advice, just hugs.

Usually, regardless of who pays, the invite list is 1/3 bride's family, 1/3 groom's family, and 1/3 guests/friends of the bride & groom. For this to work of course you have to start with the max number you can invite, and then give everyone the # they are allowed.

For a capacity of 230, that is 76 invites per group (bride's family, groom's family, bride & groom's friends). If his family wants to invite 47, I would tell your dad they are inviting 50 of their alloted 76, and he gets the add'l 26 to bring his allotment to 102, and that you & FH are inviting your allotment of 76.

Good luck!!!

I was thinking this too, if you need to place a second order it will cost a lot, and the cost for an additional 25 tacked on to your order now will be minimal.

I am currently going through the same problem. When we counted how many invitations we need, we counted like 125. But I think we are going to order 150 just to be on the safe side. It definitely costs a h*ll of at lot more if you decide to buy an additional 25 later on compared to buying them now.

How many singles do you have out of your total of people?

Do you have + guests on the invitations?
