I am so excited- after a lot of going back and forth and reviewing the reviews from trip advisor, we have decided to book at El Dorado Royal Spa Resort. We booked the Casita swim up suite - it is ocean front, has a jacuzzi, an open air shower (in addition to a standard shower) so that you can take a shower under the stars . . .

You can also walk right out of your room into a water mirror which is a shallow pool of water to lay in for laying out- this connects to a lazy river which connects to the main pool and swim up bar.

We spent a bit more than anticipated, but still affordable for the amount of time we will be there for.

I am SO EXCITED!!!!!!

Xcaret is lots of fun. They have so many different activities there. Yes, it's the nature park with tons of things to do.
And for the ruins...that's not going to work. You have to do it on your own because you have to hold on to the chain they have there or hold on to the steps as you come down, one step at a time sitting down. Let Brian carry you at other times...when you can both make the most of it
