I am so excited- after a lot of going back and forth and reviewing the reviews from trip advisor, we have decided to book at El Dorado Royal Spa Resort. We booked the Casita swim up suite - it is ocean front, has a jacuzzi, an open air shower (in addition to a standard shower) so that you can take a shower under the stars . . .
You can also walk right out of your room into a water mirror which is a shallow pool of water to lay in for laying out- this connects to a lazy river which connects to the main pool and swim up bar.
We spent a bit more than anticipated, but still affordable for the amount of time we will be there for.
I am SO EXCITED!!!!!!

I am SSSOOOOOOO excited!!!! I am embarrassed to say but I have never been anywhere outside of NY except for Pennsylvania and NJ and have never even been on a plane!!!
I have lived a very sheltered life
I was second guessing my decision and started considering the royal hideaway, but in my gut I just felt we should go with El dorado Royale. I just can't wait!!!!!!

YEAH! Thats sounds great. And, I have never been anywhere either.!!! I've been to Florida, Massachusetts, Virginia, and Pennsylvania. I've been sheltered too....it's ok!

YAY! I am so excited for you. I am going in November on a girlie trip so I will be sure to take lots of pictures for you! I was reading reviews about it on trip advisor.com today and I cannot wait to go!!! If I like it in November, Brian and I are going to go there for our Honeymoon too!

It is in Riviera Maya Mexico- about 30 mins south of cancun, a ferry ride away from cozumel, a few minutes from playacar, and near the Mayan Ruins.

Congrats! The Mayan Riviera is beautiful! Just a word of advice. We went to cancun on a shopping trip and it turned out to be extremelly boring. 5 hours long, and we saw the same shops and the same items over and over again.

Riviera Maya is beautiful. You are going to love it there. Make sure you go to Xcaret. You will have great time. Congrats on booking your This is the part that I'm looking forward the most...my honeymoon.
ETA>>If you get a chance, go to the Mayan Ruins. It is nice especially if you go up all the steps. I did when I went and it is the most unbelievable feeling even though when you are up there, and it's time to come down, you start thinking....who told me to come up all those steps...Oh MY!!!

That will definitely be on our list (Xcaret - is that where the nature park is? and the Mayan Ruins- I will clmb those ruins- Brian will just have to carry me down )
