We're spending two nights in the city since that's where we're getting married and we don't want to rush out of here . . Then 2 weeks in Hawaii (One week at the Big Island and one in Kauai - we'll probably also do a day trip in Maui), and then when we fly back, we're going to spend a day and a night in LA, at this boutique hotel (the Luxe) on Rodeo Drive, just because we've never been, and we figured we'd take a flying break and rest up before coming home!
I CANNOT WAIT!

I LOVE CHECKING THINGS OFF THE LIST! THAT WAS A BIG ONE....
only other really 'BIG' thing I have is the florist . . . but working on that this month.
Oh, I want to go now. How hard is it going to be to wait now!?!

I know! The length of the travel to/from Hawaii was the one factor holding us back from booking at first. And I really don't 'love' planes either... but hopefully I can just sleep on it and I'll wake up when we get there... either that or I hope they play REALLY good movies. LOL - and that's why we're stopping in LA on the way home... I figure the way home would be worse than the way there so if we break it up it won't be as horrendous hopefully...
One of the reasons we decided on Hawaii is just because the trip IS so long, ya know? We figure, when will we ever want to spend this kind of money and take this much time off for one trip? Everything about this trip is a major splurge, including the amount of time we're taking - but memories last forever right? And we only plan on having one honeymoon . . .

You will Love Hawaii. We didn't goto the big island but went to Kaui. Where are you staying? We did something similar to you with stopping. We statyed 2 nights in San Fran going and then 2 nights in Vegas coming back. Ill post a few pics of Kaui if you want.
ETA: check out Laurie from LA Blossom for Florist! Shes the best.

We stayed at the HYATT!!!! Heres a pic of our view from our room This was the only hotel we didn't have an ocean view room but we overlooked the pool which was AMAZING!!!
