On saturday night we booked the Riviera for Friday July 30th 2004. I just wanted to say anyone looking for a smaller sized wedding that is one wedding at a time and on the water check out this place. The poeple are so nice and helpful and the prices are reasonable. They threw in a few things and were very accomadating. Anyone with questions just ask!! Thanks everyone who helped me!!

Yes, its in Massapequa its right on the water a little bit of a drive from the parkways but thats ok. There are houses around near it but they are NICE houses. The cocktail hour can be held outside as well as the ceremony and its just sooo pretty.

Our wedding was there this past November. Who's helping you plan it? Michelle was our banquet manager and she was wonderful. We chose the veal picatta, chicken frances, stuffed fish, and beef for our meals. Everyone said the food was great. I didn't try too many things at the cocktail hour but the seafood bar was also a big hit. The wedding cake was fabulous. Ours came from Black Forest Bakery in Lindenhurst and was provided by the Riviera. Everyone said it was the only wedding cake they'd ever had that tasted GOOD.

I am also getting married at the Riviera on May 15th, 2004... i have a saturday evening reception. its beautiful!! i cant wait!! let me know if you book anything else. i am using Patken for the Photo/Video, and am now concentrating on a DJ. I am going to use the list the Riviera provided because i heard it is a difficult place due to the table setup for acoustics.

Are there 2 Riveras? The one Im thinking of has the frozen drinks, waterfall, etc... I thought it was in Staten Island.

Hi Everyone, I will definitly hang out during my planning. I have heard things aot teh acoustics too, we may use one of the photographers they listed Deja vu and we have someone in mind for a Dj but we are going to listen to a few at the showcase on 2/27. Any other riviera going to the showcase?

yes, i am definitely going to the expo at the Riviera. i heard mixed reviews about Deja Vu. I am using Patken for both Video and Photo. They had beautful books and came highly recommended from some friends. Are you having a DJ and MC? I cant figure out when you need both and when you can just use one. im not a big fan of lots of audience participation, so i am not sure if i need an MC.

Stef - I suppose there are two then b/c the Riviera that these women are talking about is on Long Island overlooking the water in Massapequa.
Yes there are two one is in Brooklyn thouh not SI. My friend used Deja vu and loved them plus i know someone who knows the owner. I am not sure if i want an Mc i am not bigon audience participation either. See you on the 27th. :)
