We booked Timber Point!

We loved it. There was a wedding going on today and it was lovely. It was wonderful to see the place all set up, although the outdoor patio isn't done because it's December. We were shooting for May, but they didn't have a Sunday afternoon open. They had an April, but that seemed way too soon--I haven't even ordered dresses yet! Then he said he had June 3rd, and then said he probably could do the April rate if we guaranteed 85 guests. We told him that if his boss okayed the April rate, we'd give him a deposit right then. And we did. The only other place we looked at was the Three Village Inn, which I also liked--I've eaten brunch there many times, and am having Brunch with Santa there on Christmas Eve--but I didn't like either of their ceremony locations. At Timber Point, they're both lovely, either the brick patio under a pergola, overlooking the Great South Bay, or inside in front of a very attractive fireplace. We had some hors d'oeuvres, which were yummy, and we were sold.

I'm so happy! It's such a weight off my shoulders. After this, it's just details, right? (Not really.) Now I've got to finish my Christmas cards ASAP so I can do Save the Dates.

That's so funny because I am getting married at the Three Village Inn and it was between that and Timberpoint. I loved them both! Great choice. It is such a pretty place!!

I went to a wedding there! it was gorgous! It was in the summer and they got such beautiful pictures on the fields behind and in the gazebo in front! FM and Ill give you the link to her pictures!

Thanks, all. I'm both very excited, and very relieved! It's hard to do Christmas and plan a wedding at the same time. Although, the catering manager we spoke to said it was good that we were there yesterday, as the last week of December and January are crazy there. Because so many people get engaged on Christmas and New Year's. Makes sense, but I had never thought about it. I'm so glad we got in when we did! And we got the cheap rate, too. (Although I bet most of those people aren't looking to book only six months in the future.)

Timber Point is just lovely. I picked a place on the south shore as well and it overlooks the great south bay too...
