I'm not going to say sorry because there's nothing for you to be sorry or upset over. I know this must have been an extremely difficult decision, but it is probably the best one you'll ever make. It's so easy to think of a wedding as the most important day of your life and that you should be as extravagant as possible but when it comes down to it, it's ONE day. I think getting married is more about becoming married to that special person, not having a wild party that everyone is going to be talking about for years to come!
Your wedding will be beautiful and it will be the best day of your life because of who you will become: the man you love the most's wife. I feel the same way you do about being in debt with a mortgage instead of a wedding.
So instead of sorry, congratulations on being mature enough to realize what really matters to you most. I will be on the lookout for lower priced RHs for you.

Well said! I couldn't have put it better if I tried. I am sorry Donna that you ahd to go through arguments with your FH over money and your wedding. Weddings are supposed to be happy and wonderful occassions and I applaud you for being able to realize that it wasn't a positive stressor in your relationship. It takes a really mature and smart woman. Good for you. I know I don't know you, but I am really proud of you!

You guys are all really lifting my spirits! I was planning on not coming back to the boards ever! I was too depressed to even think about a wedding! But I realize that alot of you have guided me with great suggestions and help! Im just grateful that you guys are here to talk to
