Do you think its stupid to get one of those credit cards that have 0% interest for a year and pay it off in the next year?
Edited: I found a couples honeymoon for only $2300 flight included... I am SURE I could pay that off in a year...and I dont really have any credit cards yet... but CC scare me LOL

If you are very good with credit cards. I had a car loan for my '01 mitsubishi. When I got the loan down to a point I felt comfortable, I opened a 15 month 0% Amex card and moved the loan over. I paid it off within 15 months and it saved me a ton of interest.

We're not going on our honeymoon until September! I'd rather do that than struggle even more for money! But that's JMO!

Maybe wait to book it after you get the wedding gifts.

imo a honeymoon is a vacation. i know it will be the first trip as husband and wife but this should be fun planning not stress. do it when u can afford it. the most important thing is marrying your fh not the trip

if you are set on going on a honeymoon right after the wedding & you have good credit to get a 0% card then i think you should go ahead & do that.
remember that you will receive monetary gifts that you can use to pay off part or all of it.

Yeah, I would do it. To me going on a honeymoon right after the wedding is part of all the fun and I would definitely do the 0% card if I could definitely pay it off, JMO. To me it's more special than a regular vacation I could take at any time.

I don't think it's a bad idea bc you could just pay it off right away when you get your gift money. I wouldn't go crazy though with the amount.

We can't afford one as well so we're probably going to go on a mini-moon and then save for the real thing. I wouldn't risk another credit card payment unless you know you can afford to pay it off before they hit you with interest.

ITA
and...not to be TOTALLy evil, but even if you had interest it wouldn't be too nuts b/c you could pay it off ASAP after w/ wedding gifts.
