WE FOUND OUR FLORIST!!
Doing the happy dance ..... doing the happy dance .... doing the happy dance.
FH and I went to Atlantic Floral last night and booked our florist. She is one of the recommended vendors for Oheka Castle but she had no problem working with us 'little people with small wallets.' LOL. We gave her our budget requirements and she worked with us from start to finish. I may not be getting tons of hydrangeas and orchids (which are my favorite flowers), but I still get to have beautiful ceremony and reception decor within budget (which is awesome since we are paying for everything ourselves). ** Sigh ** ... why couldn't I have a rich Uncle that loved to splurge on his oh so deserving niece. hee hee. Anyhoo, here is what we're getting for well under $2k:
- Chuppah covered in white chiffon with floral arrangements on 2 front pillars and cascading roses from the top
- 6 pew bows with small calla lily bouquets behind them (made of chiffon)
- 10 high hanging candle centerpieces with arrangement of roses on top (see pic below - ours is a smaller version with 2 dozen rose), surrounded at the base by 6 white votive candles and rose petals
- floral arrangement for sweetheart table (taken from top of chuppah after ceremony)
- 1 clutch bridal bok
- 1 toss bok
- 4 BM bok's
- 2 baskets with flower girl petals
- 2 very small bok's for my mother and MIL
- 9 bouts (for GM, Father of Bride, Father of groom, etc, etc.)
I can't express how happy we are with our package. FH actually wanted low CP's but changed his mind after seeing a high CP sample in the store. It's so different and so pretty - we love it. Yet another vendor taken off the wedding to do list - YAY!!! Now all we need is a DJ and to decide on BP attire.
Thanks to everyone who posted their floral info. and budget requirements. I appreciate all the great referrals I received and everyone's honesty with their budget and floral choices. I'm so glad to have such great LIW buddies!![]()
