We got our first 'NO' because of children

FH's boss never goes to our holiday parties because guests aren't allowed and 'he doesn't go anywhere where his wife isn't invited.'

That's actually pretty sweet and we DID invite him and his wife (his boss was very excited about our wedding since fh and I work together). And today his boss told FH that he didn't realize that children weren't allowed (they have a young son) so his policy extends to his son as well. He wasn't rude about it at all so we can't hate on him.

BUT he did say he will give us a present

anyway, don't couples ever want to get away from their kids? Still, I think it's cute that he's so devoted to his wife and child.
