We got our first WEDDING GIFT!!!

Someone that can't make it to our wedding sent us a gift. I am so excited. It was a real burst of reality seeing Mr. & Mrs. XXXX on the check!!! I can't believe I am getting married in 66 days!! I think I am in shock!!!

OK, so now I have a question... Do I send a thank you right away or do I wait til after the wedding and send them one with a picture? Or do I send one now and then send another? Thanks!!!

I think I would send a thank you note now and then after the wedding, send one of the more formal ones (you know the one that has you and FH ((at that time it will be DH )) picture in it.

Congrats!!! I think I would call them to acknowledge the gift, then send the picture thank yous. Oh, I can't begin to imagine how excited you must be. I still have 123 days left, and I'm bouncing off the walls with excitement!! Enjoy!!

I just have a quick question... forgive me for changing subjects slightly. I know FH stands for future husband. What does DH stand for? The only DH I know is the designated hitter in American League baseball. LOL.

that's so fun. it must be so exciting. i keep getting engagement gifts and watching stuff come off my registry which is exciting too. i would send a thank you right away this way they know that it was received. Then they also know that you didn't forget once they see that you cashed the check.

Hey Kristi!!! I am having so much fun running home at lunchtime and checking for responses. A few come in each day. I have a few no's, but they are people we knew weren't coming. Just had to send them an invite anyway. Can you believe we are only two months away? I am starting to freak out. I can't believe it. I just finished my last paper for grad school. I graduate in two weeks!! Yeah!! Now I can finally focus on this wedding!!
