i LOOOOOVE to dance and i am always telling my friends that it makes me really sad that FH doesn't like it. so he agreed to take lessons but i was nervous he would learn how and STILL not like it.
so we went for our first class tonight and we were both really nervous on the way there. we got there and found that the class was pretty small. mary (the instructor) started us off w the first few steps. at first i could tell FH felt REALLY uncomfortable and he was embarrassed b/c he wasn't getting it. but mary started dancing w him and showing him what to do and soon he got it...and i could see that he was having FUN!
on the way home he couldn't stop talking about how fun it was and that after this session he wants to take more and learn different dances. i am SO happy right now! finally i can do my favorite thing with my FAVORITE person!!

I want to do this too. There's an Arthur Murray near our apartment. I may check and see if there's something at the local adult ed though. I hear A.Murray is pricey!

this class is 8 weeks, group session for $75pp. i don't know how much others are, but it sounded reasonable!

How much fun is swing?? There's a website that has videos that will teach you different steps. We stayed home and did that one night and then showed everyone in class what we learned. We're such losers but it was so much fun! Tonight we learned cha-cha and tango

I had some trouble with the links, if they don't work you can search it on you tube, most of the swing moves were there too.

no prob and here's another little tip, if you have time warner cable, there are channels that just play music all day, they have a big band and swing channel, on my tv it's 635. We like practice to that
