We just got our tentative closing date - Monday October 5!

Please everyone keep your fingers crossed that it happens on that day. I am completely frazzled over the house buying (more than wedding planning) and just want to close already!

Plus I'm sick of having to go outside to do my laundry

Congrats! Wow, I feel like that went really fast for you!

I do too! We first saw the house August 4. Put in the offer on August 8 and it was accepted on the 9th. We signed the contract August 13.

The main reason the buyers picked us (there were 3 other couples bidding on the house) was because we had nothing to sell so we could close quickly. We actually bid the lowest of the 3 couples but just 'fit' the sellers more.

I can't believe how quickly it's happening. In a way I wish things would slow down a bit to give us another paycheck or 2 to put in the bank, but I'm so happy and excited!
