Today I am trying to pack things up so that we can finally start moving into the house...where did all this crap come from?? It is amazing what you can accumulate over just a few short years!!!

we do too...its amazing how stuff seems to grow in our house!
while packing to move just recently...I kept throwing out and throwing out...and we still have too much crap!!!
Now I know why my mother doesn't want to move out of the house that she has lived in for 38 years!!!

We started to ship some stuff down to FL so our friends can put in storage for us, and OMG I never realized how much stuff you can have jammed in a closet.

we live in a small 2 bedroom, we also rent out a storage room & I keep telling John we need a house or a condo with a LOT of closets & kitchen space pleaze!!!!!!

I try and keep ontop of throwing out the excess clutter.. the stuff my parents have accumulated for 20 years.. my dad saves all the mailman rubberband.. they save broken pens, clothes that they will never fit in again.. old craft supplies.. Plus my mom buys so much cheap things.. thinking its a bargain but it just makes clutter.. I'm glad i'll be moving into a house cause I see how much books/sports equipment that my FI saves.. ughh
we found soap from the 1950's and jelly from the 1970's in my grandfathers house!!!

I hear ya! I started throwing stuff away to prepare for the move and I ended up throwing away 5 bags (the big black ones) of crap so far!!

I know that feeling too well. I took advantage of the last move and threw out or gave to charity so many things. It really helped a lot to clear up some of the stuff we have accumulated. I used the rule, 'if we haven'ts used it on a year, it had to go', unless it was something sentimental!
