Re: We need all vendors...yikes

We had a band, so I can't help with DJs.

We used Pedestals and Nadia was our florist. Our flowers were stunning, exactly what we asked for. However, they delivered the church flowers to the wrong place - DESPITE my extremely specific directions to the church AND repeated warnings (including one in writing on the directions I faxed to them) stating that St. Thomas chapel is NOT the same as the main church on such and such a street. They STILL delivered them to the wrong church.

My cousin and someone from the church (the singer - yeah, I know w t f?) had to go get them. Despite the fact that I was on time to the church (actually 20 mins early), I had to wait in the limo until they got back -- mainly b/c the singer went to go get them -- still not sure how that happened! It added unnecessary stress and made us start the ceremony 10 mins late.

The other deliveries (bouquets/bouts and to the RH) were fine and on time. All the flowers were absolutely stunning. I think the price was okay for what we got. We may have gotten it a little cheaper elsewhere.

For photography, I highly recommend our photographers - Perceptions. My brother used them 3 years ago and we just used them 2 weeks ago. I haven't gotten my proofs yet (soon!), but my brothers pics were amazing. They were easy to work with, moderately priced, and the work is amazing. My photographers were Lisa and Jose. (Lisa is more photojournalistic and Jose more traditional / portraits) They were just wonderful to be around all day, as was their assistant. They even had safety pins on hand which made it much easier to handle when I had a wardrobe malfunction. I've also seen the owners photos and he's soooo talented (and very nice). He was booked for our date, but I'd have chosen him first! I'll post my proofs when I get them soon!

Hi date twin! We don't have very many vendors booked either. After we got the hall and church, we selected our photographer & videographer (12th Night & Mittermax). Next we're checking out florists.

Re: We need all vendors...yikes

For flowers decide if you want to spend a lot or cut back and put the money elsewhere. You can never go wrong with candles!! Decide what kind of flowers you want first then price out:
Burton's (Mine)
Pedastals
Flower Michele
and any others you may know of

For music decide if you want DJ or Band. If you want a DJ shop around as well and look at what you get for your money as far as time and quality. Don't skimp on music cus from my experiences, you get what you pay for.Look into:
Starlight Express (mine)
Tommy Tunes
Body Rock
etc.

And the most important vendor IMHO is the photographer. Do not skimp on this!!! Think about if you want a photojournalitic style, a traditional photographer, or someone who does portraits and candids. Then take the time to look at different photographers websites and see who you like. I recommened the website www.wpja.com as well as www.ppa.com to help you find people. And both list many photogrpahers so you will have a lot to choose from. I also have to put in a recommendation for my photogrpaher, Andres Rentsch. His stuff is great!! HTH!!! Happy planning!!

Photographers - Creative Compositions (David & Jovani are great)

DJs - we use a band called The Mystics

Officiants - if you're looking for reform Rabbi - I can definetely recommend Rabbi Robert Applestone. He was a cantor at my DH parents wedding and his Bar Mitzvah. Became a Rabbi and married DH's sister, cousin and this year us!! So you can definetely rely on him!!!

Hair & Makeup - Kacey of Khoulod's Beauty

Good luck!!
