We picked BRIDESMAID dresses this weekend!!! W/ PICS
I swear, I have the best girls in the world...of course I'm biased but seriously...I love these people. From the beginning I knew I didn't want my girls to wear the same thing, so right off the bat I was searching for a good seperates line that wasn't matronly and offered a great deal of different styles. Color wasn't really a problem because I was looking for black which isn't very hard to come by so I chose Impressions BM Seperates. They had pages and pages and pages of tops and right off the bat I found two skirts that I really loved. Soooooo I informed everyone that I had chosen a line and a skirt and that they could pick their own top, something that they would be comfortable in and possibly even wear again. Being that one of my 'maids lives upstate we waited until she could get down here to get everyone together to go shopping. She was down this weekend and apparently we only needed one day.....not even, try ONE HOUR of a frenzy of tops and pins and LOUDNESS and 'can you zip this', Haha, to outfit my entire bridal party which consists of: my two sisters and my three best friends.
I made an appointment at Helens Private Collection in Commack for 10am (the earliest appt) on Saturday and they were amazing as usual. The blonde girl (can't remember her name) who works there is absolutely the BEST bridal salon attendant EVER...she is very upbeat and soooooo helpful. I highly reccomend going there. Anyway, we walked in and my BP pretty much attacked the seperates rack like a bunch of pirannas.....it was hilarious. I pretty much showed them the skirt and stood back answering the occasional 'do you like this?' with 'I like what you like' and by the time they were done there was like 8 tops out of 50 left and they were hanging all jagged like. Again, lolz. Since they only had three fitting rooms for us to occupy, four girls doubled up and they all came out so that I could snap pictures of them in everything they tried on and they switched with each other as they found things that they definetly didn't like. It was such a chaotic yet, smooth process. Favorites emerged almost immediately and we did somewhat of a refining process and everyone pretty much decided then and there on what they wanted. Just as everyone was getting dressed I decided I wanted a picture of everyone together in the tops they had chosen (since there was only one of the skirt...they all wore different skirts).....So here they are...in the wrong color....and slighty ill-fitted....with black bars on their faces (just in case...i'm like reality tv...unless i have a signed document, ya face gets blurred) MY LADIES!!!

There is a catch, now....I have a question. All of the tops they have on (with the exception of my little sister) are georgette and the skirts are satin. I liked how the two fabrics looked together and I liked that they were different but the skirts also come in georgette. Should I get the georgette skirts or stick with the satin? Should the top and bottom be the same fabric?? Let me know!!![]()

ETA: My sisters were told to choose tops that had some sort of embelishment so they would stand out. Also the tallest girl in the pic, my sister is my Maid of Honor.
