I cannot even begin to remember everything we decided on.........
We are having pre-ceremony hospitality, martini line, a vodka slide and caviar station, seared tuna, a 'kosher deli' station (deli meats, traditional dr. brown's soda), a hot soup station at cocktail hour, a few asian inspired items, I cannot even remember what we are having for passed hor doevres, then we move into dinner where we have duet plate, Chateau Briand, Chicken Wellington, Tilapia, and TONS of desserts--egg cream cart, molten lava chololate cake (all I have thought about all day), halvah and I know I left out some things!!!
And the wait staff is going to go around with the slipper baskets and offer them to people!!!

Oh, you must remember the halvah. It was one of my main reasons for wanting a Temple wedding!!
My poor FH and the best man (brother) have juvenile diabetes and here we are having insane desserts with loads of sugar. Well, they WERE doing great with the diabetes--until now!

Re: we picked our menu
For my wedding I am having sugar-free deserts made for my dad, cousin, and uncle who are diabetics. Diabetes is a serious disease. It caused my father's kidneys to fail (thank God for his transplant) You might look into it. There are so many delicious sugar free deserts now, that look and taste like the 'real' stuff.

Re: we picked our menu
FH is just so acustommed to skipping the sweets that he doesn't even bother with sugar free desserts. They did provide some great ones at his sister's wedding, but when it came time for our wedding, he didn't seem as interested. We just made sure that we had cocktail hour food that is to his liking.
So I guess your dad got a kidney transplant in time for things to be okay! That's great! Diabetes is very serious and I know that my FH's luck can change but he has been very fortunate that his treatment has worked well so far. We are nervous, though, because his diabetes Dr. is retiring and she is so incredible.

My Mom is a diabetic and I worry about dessert time. We arent having a Viennese hour/tables rather desserts at the tables. She has very little control and will more than likely choose something she shouldnt have. If you out a sugar free option next to a regular one, she will make the wrong choice. That night, I can't worry. I will have to turn a blind eye and hope she doesnt get ill.

Kerie-that menu sounds very familiar! Also, did you contract the naked shot boys? I haven't forgotten!
BTW-if you did contract the naked shot boys-I need an invite.

I can't believe how close you are..
Well, we forgot to hire the naked shot boys, so I am hoping that some of my better looking friends will take their clothes off. Unless I call the naked shot boys right now for a last minute scheduling!
We really did contract for an ice shot slide (luge).
Blu-ize, what did you have on your menu that you loved? It is not too late for us to make changes (even though it sounds great now).

I had the luge too! Great stuff. I didn't have the martini bar though but we did have the sushi station. As far as cocktail hour goes, stuffed cabbage was a tremendous hit-pigs in blankets, potato pancakes (they were passed)
Main course was a blur but the tilapia sounds wonderful. I should go take out my contract and see what else was on there.
My cousin couldn't believe the gigantic hunk of halavah that they brought out. He wanted to put it in his car and take it home. Make sure you get the black and white cookies!
Maybe the naked shot boys are still available?
