We picked our wedding song

FI called me today to say that he thinks he found our wedding song. He faxed me over the lyrics. I was getting a little teary eyed. The words in the song we say to each other. We listened to the song when I got home and said, that's our song. Its I NEED YOU by marc anthony.

I can't wait to pick our song- FI is being a pain in the butt cuz he doesn't really like slow songs. I REALLY want 'Could Not Ask For More' by Edwin McCain but would be willing to go with 'When I Look Into Your Eyes' by Firehouse cuz its really nice words... but still a little more of the 'rock' style

what a sweet fh! Mine picked our song as well when he played it for me months before we got engaged. Unfortunately, I never hear it since its old--they do play it on some DVD player commerical- Shining Star by the Manhattans

This has been a big decision for us too! You are lucky that you finally made a choice. MY FH likes 'You Make me Feel Brand NEw' by the Stylistics. It is an older maybe 70's song. I like it but I am not totally convinced that this is 'our' song.

We picked our wedding song a few months ago. We were both listening to a CD of a band that we were considering booking, and they played the Don Henley song, 'Taking You Home.' We both said to eachother at the same time, 'This should be our song.'

I remember the first time I heard it - I was watching ER a few years ago and it was the episode where Carol the nurse reunites with George Clooney and they played the song in the background! Then it started playing on the radio and I went out and bought the CD right away.

Congrats!

We are still 'working' on our song as well. Through out our dating he has played 'the love song' by the Cure, he even sang it to me. It definately became OUR song. Than, just recently 311 band made a slow remix of the song. Its beautiful! I wanted to play that for our first dance, but he is just opposed to that. He keeps saying 'the Cure' would flip if he heard that his song was played at weddings. So he came up with an alternative, he wants to play 'By your side' by Sade...

well... we'll see what happends
