We put my kitty to sleep today

I'm sorry - I know how hard it is to put a pet to sleep.

so so sorry.

This is so like being in jail for us. Solitary confinement.

Buddy (the other cat) is finally 'getting it' and is really freaking us out.

Buddy was never a vocal cat very very quiet and only meowed when scared or extra hungry. Now he makes little sounds just like Sparky did.

Sparky sort rubbed off on him.

We are in the market for another kitten but have been told its not 'Kitten Season'

We've looked at two shelters so far.

Finally put away Sparky's dishes and bedding but still don't know what to do with his uneaten dry food or the dozens of cat food cans. Buddy can't eat normal cat food due to his diabetes.

We're hanging in there and things are getting better. We are both slightly concerned about the biopsy results because there's a SLIGHT and outside chance a parasitic virus type thing killed him. That thing can be passed onto other cats. Buddy is clear so far, but face it... Jim and I are both gun shy a bit.. it was an SLIGHT and highly unlikely chance that Sparky had Cancer or anything other than a blockage or prehaps a small tumor. He was NOT supposed to have this drastic problem

We both had a chance to see Sparky before he died but it seemed silly as he was just gonna be home soon.

Take your oppurtunity show your animals some love.

I don't know who was more shocked us or the vets office. Its a small office and has only two techs and two doctors everyone was playing with Sparky and it was a bit like a whole house like wake when we came in. My vet's office was VERY respectful and kind.

Great to know you can use your vet as a reference when adopting!!!!
