Has anyone had a good experience recently with a moving company?

Be careful with moving companies. They just had an article about them (in general) in the paper. The moving companies quite you a price and then once they have your furniture they tell you it is more then they expected and if you want your stuff you'll have to pay more money. This just happened to my sister in November. She was quoted of a price of about $2500 and once they had her stuff they said it would be more. She ended up paying about $5000. And on top of that after all of their furniture was in the house the moving people argued with them because they normally get a tip of 10% which would have been $500 and my sister and brother in law refused to give it to them. Just try to get as much as possible in writitng and make sure you read the fine print. Good Luck

I just recently used Men On the Move...they are in Floral Park and let me tell you they were great...and very resonably priced. You can even look them up online

I just used Ben Hur movers and they were good and very reasonable.

I used transolutions in n wantagh. They were great! They came in the quote he gave me (I had more stuff then I told him, too!) The only thing I was surprised about was that I was charged an extra hour for the drive back to LI. I think the email is [email protected]
