Ladies- if your man is into registering, God bless him! FH joined me tonight at the Sip and Scan event at Macy's and was over it in 5 minutes. Our convo went like this:
Me: Oooooo a Waterford wine decanter! Lets put this on the list! FH: why? We don't need that. Me: yeah but it's fancy and this is the time to get fancy stuff. We'll never buy things like this in the future. FH: I don't get it....hey look at those coffee pots.

Sounds about right!! When we went, FH went and waited in the furniture section while my cousin and I registered. Any time I asked for his opinion, he asked if we could add a, 80' flat screen to the registry and then questioned why when I said no!! LOL
I hope you had fun though!!

I had no idea what to register! I had to ask FH about everything, and I mean everything, I was lucky he was there.
Sounds just like my FH! He didn't want me to register at all!

My FH loved registering! He was so into it. I kept suggesting finishing up online at home because I was getting so flustered with all the choices. He insisted we do some at both places and then could finish at home. He was definitely a great help.

The only thing Fh is excited about is the scanner. That's the only reason he wants to go register with me.

haha my FH is OBSESSED with the registry. I'm embarassed of some of the things he has put on the list. He constantly adds and deletes things, it's so frustrating.

HAHAH sounds like mine too! We haven't registered yet since we only recently got engaged, but I have definitely been browsing on Bloomingdale's. I showed him some china I've been eyeing and he couldn't understand the concept of fine china! Sigh...

my FH used the scanner. he liked that. he last an hour and half before he was on the verge of a temper tantrum I only did appliances, pots and pans, and knives with him. There was no way in hell i was going to attempt bedding, bathroom, towels, etc.
Is it bad that I didnt care he didn't want to go? I like that I don't have to justify my $185 toasting flutes!

Not at all. I don't think FH will want to come with me when it's time to register. Most men just don't have the patience for that kind of thing, although he has surprised me this far with how involved in the planning he's been. He even bought his groomsmen their gifts already!

Lame! They were 'mocktails'. I thought their scheme was to get people a little buzzed so they register for junk they don't need.
In the end, the whole experience was fun. FH and I ended up laughing more than anything else.

FH used the scanner both times he was helpful cause I wanted his opinions on things and it was fun cause most of the time we had the same taste in it. Registering got both of us a little overwhelmed at times cause we don't have a house so we were like well we kind of can't and don't know if we will a) have room b) need the items

As long as my FH was in charge of the scanner he was happy. I was worried he'd go crazy adding random things, but he did a great job! Luckily he hasn't asked for the password to add/change things online yet. He was fine with everything we scanned... but he was very passionate about our everyday dishes and spice rack. Too funny.
