We survived!

I think the worst of the storm hit while I was asleep. Didn't lose any power. Now the sun is out . How did everyone else fare?

We're doing fine, but our internet is out (FH has his phone tethered to our laptops), and since we're on the top floor in our building, we have a leak in the bathroom. Luckily it's over the bathtub, but I still hope that management is going to pay for it!

So glad everyone's okay.

We're good! Nothing happened near us in the city. Just rained and was just windy and now it's sunny. Only issue is no transportation so who knows if I'm going to work tomorrow. There are worst things! Hope everyone is ok!

Think I slept through it to. Though at 8am I woke up to winds but it didn't look bad. I was up until 3am and didn't really see anything happen here in the bronx.

Our house is fine, but we lost power on Saturday night and still don't have it back. FH and I are at Starbucks getting our internet fixes! He is looking up sports stats and I am catching up on LIW!

FH and I stayed up all the night and between 4-7 was the worst here. We lost power and still don't have it back. We had to throw away a lot of food since we don't have a fridge. I'm glad to hear that all you girls are good.

Wow so many people lost power, so sorry to hear. I kept waking up and checking weather.com page on FB and reading up on peoples' testimonies. Sunday morning, I turned on NY1 and watched in horror as the East River and Atlantic flooded the boardwalk and walkways.

btw has anyone heard any update on CLM. I've been thinking about that LIW bride who has her wedding there next Sunday.

We FINALLY got power back!!!!!! We had 1 window blow out and four trees come down on my block so happy though that LIPA pulled through! I have to give it to the crew guys it took i think almost 2 hours for them to repair everything because there was so much damage. I think that's why its taking so long to restore power across the island because these repairs arent so easy to do. Hope you all were safe and now its back to wedding planning again!!!
