We went for our food tasting tonight at the Thatched Cottage!

The hot hors d' oeurves were really good. We were a little disappointed that they only offered us 2 of the 7 entrees. They gave us Chicken Florentine and Salmon. Our Dads do not eat fish, so they only were able to taste one entree. My fiance and I both don't really care for salmon (it was pretty good though). All in all, everything went well and the staff was nice.

We're still going to check out 3 more places before we make a decision.

What are the other 3 places?

The Merrywood Cottage at Smithtown Landing (which we saw tonight- the ballroom was beautiful but, we really didn't care for the cocktail rooms or outdoor patio/deck. Rich, the general manager, was very nice and very accomodating).

We're going to check out the West Sayville Country Club tomorrow night and then East Wind Caterers on Saturday.

We'd like to make our decision by next week, hopefully!
