I really don't want to wear a veil. Also, I feel that it is a waste if I only wear it for the ceremony. Any thoughts?

Re: Wearing a veil?
I think that's fine. So many brides are not doing veils - it's a personal choice. I will be wearing it and hopefully for the whole day. But that's really what FH wants - I'd go with just a flower otherwise.

I'm wearing a veil for the ceremony pictures and 1st dance. Not 100% if I will wear it past that. I loved my veil so I def want to wear it. I'm not wearing a blusher

it is really your choice, many brides do not do the veil anymore. I wore mine all day - night long. But I always wanted to wear one.

Re: Wearing a veil?
i went sans veil. just didn't like how i looked/felt with one and i think that you have to go with whatever makes you comfortable. i knew id be so annoyed if it was flying in my face the whole day with wind for outdoor pics and stuff like that. i didnt want anything in my face. there are so many beautiful and unique hair accessories you can get now that you have plenty alternatives!!

personally I love veils, but just a flower seems to be the newest style!

Re: Wearing a veil?
I wore it up until 1/2 way through the reception. I didn't even realize I was still wearing it until my bridal attendant asked me if I wanted to take it off!

I also don't want to wear one but fmil keeps insisting i should. I definetly do not want to wear the one that goes in front of your face.
Was thinking very small one and take it off after ceremony???
Not sure what to do either--

me also. i'm kinda old fashioned and i like the tradition of the veil. But I think it's definitely coming off after the first dance.

Re: Wearing a veil?
it's your wedding, so you should do whatever you want. I wasn't big on veils either. I definitely didn't want something covering my face and I didn't want anything poufy taking away from my dress. I only wore a veil that clipped to the back of my head for the ceremony and then took it off right after.

Re: Wearing a veil?
thats what i did - i wore it for the ceremony and a few pictures and then took it off...everyone kept asking my mom - 'where's her veil?' and my mom said - her wedding her choice..i was sooo happy i didnt wear it all night - if you just want to wear it for the ceremony - go for it

Re: Wearing a veil?
I originally didn't want one, but I have to wear one for at least the ceremony. The idea grew on me, and I ended up getting a longer one than I originally wanted to. I'm still probably taking it off after pictures though.

Re: Wearing a veil?
i want to wear a veil, but once i get my dress i'll have to see what i think. sometimes veils may be too much. it all depends on what you are comfortable with.

Re: Wearing a veil?
I can't seem to find a veil that is good enough for my dress. dress!
But veil is like overkill with it, and its not typicall wedding gown.
I was going to use a birdcage, but just for pics and just for ceremony maybe ..

Re: Wearing a veil?
I will just wear my veil for the ceremony. I got a beautiful and very inexpensive veil on ebay. I didn't want to splurge on something I'd wear for a half hour. You could always just buy an inexpensive veil and have it just in case you change your mind.
