My FH proposed in middle of winter, outside, in snow, by the east river. I was really hoping that it would fit better when we got inside, it didn't. Then I was really hoping that as weather got warmer my fingers would get a little more swollen. They didn't.
The thing is, its sized at 6 right now, resizing it smaller, I think will mess with the unique setting. I don't want to risk it, as its a designer setting.
I thought about adding those little metal balls, but I know it would drive me nuts. I'd just like to keep the ring perfect as it is, but wear it every day on middle finger?
What do you think?

id try getting those balls or at least look into getting it re-sized - but thats just me - i wouldnt want to wear my ering on any other finger - but if it doesnt bother you then i guess you can just leave it on your middle finger - its your ring and your hand

I think you should have a jeweler take at look at your setting to see if it can be resized. They told me my first ring cannot be resized because the design of the setting and the band is designed as 1. It was a size 9!! So we actually have to buy another ring because I'm a size 4 and I have the shots (the metal balls) added for the winter. The jeweler said if your ring has a separate setting it can usually be resized. It might not be as complicated at you think so definately have some one look at it.

I would get it resized.. Mine was too big too and I got it resized and it fits great. If they are pros they will know what they are doing and not mess it up. Bring it to the place he got it from and they should maybe do it for free or for very cheap.

I would get the ring re-sized then to have to worry about the metal balls. Take it to a good jeweler and see if they can fix it for you without messing up your setting.

I got balls baby.....and they're just fine. If you wear your ring on anything other than your Left ring finger in NY, people will think that you bought yourself and E-Ring, or it was a gift from your parents. Get the balls.....They can add or shave them depending on how your body changes. I'm glad my ring was too big. Now when I get fat and happy after I'm married, my ring will still fit!!!

my ring is also too big. i went to the store and they put a metal bar on the back which is adjustable. it fits perfectly and doesn't hurt. when it gets closer to my wedding i'll get it resized for good.

Have balls put in your ring. they made my ring fit MUCH better
eta: You don't feel them at all. I was hesitant to do it at first, but I don't even notice they're there!

Def. get the balls or have it re-sized...you don't want to lose it and personally I think an engagement ring on the middle finger is tacky ...sorry JMO

I had the same problem. but I had the Jeweler speical order the band in my size. ( In between a 5.5 and a 6). See if they will do that for you with little cost involved.

I got the 'balls' (stabilizers) put on my ring... and I got used to them. I had thought they'd drive me nuts, but they're totally fine.

why dont you get one of those resizer extra bands put in the back or have the back of the e-ring flattened so it fits snug

I have the balls and you cant see them nor can you feel them. I would definitely suggest getting them done.

Take it to a jeweler-my ring didnt git properly so they flattened the bottom and it was snug and it didnt spin. The thing with the balls is that if they are not put in properly they will annoy your finger-I originally had the balls and it was VERY uncomfortable to wear
