I was at a wedding this weekend and there were several people wearing white and they were not the bride. One girl was wearing a white dress that was even whiter than the brides dress. It didn't even have a pattern, just stark white! I can't believe people are so clueless...how do you NOT realize that its just not right!?
How would you react if someone wore white to YOUR wedding?? Personally, I probably wouldn't even notice, but as a guest at someone else's wedding I noticed it and this girl just looked stupid.

I would never do that, I think it's just really rude! But I agree that I prob wouldn't even notice if someone did it at my wedding. at least not until i watched my video then I would get angry

Re: Wearing white to someone's wedding???
I would be furious if someone wore white to my wedding, and as soon as I saw and noticed, I'd probably have my father, uncle, husband, and brother in law throw them out.
A girl wore a short white dress to my sister's wedding, so I asked my sister if she would like me to go take care of her. She just kind of shook her head and said, 'well that's just so and so', like it was acceptable! I was furious, and I was just the MOH!

i had this convo w/ a BM in the car not too long ago--i'd march into the kitchen and make them spit in her food!
i'm sorry, but you don't wear white to a wedding, and you don't wear it to a funeral. people who do deserve to be punished ::evil laughter::

I don't think it's that big of a deal. Regardless of the colors people wear WE are the brides, not them, and all eyes will be on us. So who cares what other people wear?

I agree! It wouldn't really bother me because I'm sure that the bride will still stand out.

I once wore a cream dress with gold on it to a wedding. Nobody said anything to me... but I would never do it again.

Re: Wearing white to someone's wedding???
I think wearing white to someone else's wedding is beyond tacky and showing a lack of respect for the bride. If I noticed a woman wearing white to my wedding, I wouldn't say anything personally, but I am sure that someone else would get a snide comment in.

Re: Wearing white to someone's wedding???
I would not want someone to wear white to my wedding but wear does it say in the book of wedding planning that they can't wear white . It's not a fact so to each it's own everyone eyes will be on the bride anyway!

Yikes- I can't believe the nerve of some people. I have a cousin who dated this skanky older woman. She wore white to my other cousin's wedding and we all raised our eyebrows. Not to mention she was making an a$$ out of herself in numerous ways. I truly think that these people are attention seekers if they wear white to a wedding.

Re: Wearing white to someone's wedding???
Honestly, I don't know if everyone is aware of that rule. I always raise my eyebrow when I see a person at a wedding wearing white. But I would not be outraged if someone did it at mine. I would just think they didn't know any better.
It makes the other person look ridiculous. No sense in making yourself upset about it on your wedding day.
