Ok, so yesterday I posted some pictures of the tent for my reception being put up. So excited and everything, yes.
But believe me, I have been watching the weather forecast like crazy. The ten day predictions are looking like crazy thunderstorms all next week.
I am so sad!!! I mean, my reception is outside rain or shine! I feel like I could cry.

Don't worry - I'm sure it will be fine. Predicting weather isn't exactly an exact science. They were predicting rain even the day before, but on the day of, I got nothing but sunshine. I'm sure it will all work out! It's still too far away to get upset!

Your making me worry. My wedding is the next day. First of all, there is not even any prediction yet for June 24. Also, it says chance of Thunderstorms for today, and it didn't rain yet. I am going to pray for sun for the whole weekend!!!

It just seems to bounce back and forth between storms and sunny. The forecast said sunny yesterday, but today it's back to thrunderstorms.
I/We just can't win.

I'm jumping on here to say I didn't get married on 6/24 - but we had our engagement party in the monsoon! It was so much fun and a torrential downpour. Luckily we had 3 tents up. You can see in the pictures my FH is soaked! The last shot is the tiki bar my dad made from scratch! it was a hit! Hope the ladies who got married on Saturday had a great day despite the rain!
Not only did I get married on the 24th, but my wedding was outdoors! So, if anyones got a story about dealing with the rain on their wedding day, it's me!
Yes, it rained. It rained quite a bit. BUT, my day was perfect!! The rain actually added to the romance, to the sexyness, to the intimacy of the day. My guests kicked off their shoes, walked in the grass, walked the grounds in the rain. It was sensual, and it was so romantic.
If I had it to do all over again, I don't think I would have changed the rain! If anything, I wish it was a little less humid, but still, the rain actually heightened the whole experience.
DH and I got gorgeous shots with the photographer inbetween the two or three downpours. We even had a bunch of shots underneath my grandmothers umbrella. It meant alot to my mother since my grandmother passed away three years ago. The photographer let me look at some of the shots on his camera throughout the day, and the colors are saturated and lush. Thanks be to the rain.
And my guests were completely dry under the tent.

Excuse my mid-yell face, but this is DH and I making our grand entrance in the rain. We didn't even care!
In closing ladies, if it happens to rain on your wedding day, please don't sweat it. It is such not a big deal! It's only water. And that rain can actually add some wonderful elements to your day.
